Dark Matter Labs, in partnership with Camden Town Unlimited and Connected Places Catapult, is creating a civic innovation district in Central London, as a new model for local innovation and imagination to resolve shared urban issues through participative use of technology.

Started in 2018 and co-funded by the Greater London Authority, the project aims to build long-term institutional capacity for unlocking the desire and pathways for democratic, inclusive use of technology in regulatory innovation, economic development and urban policy and investment – through participative experimentation across a wide range of interconnected urban issues.
