Residents already know how their city fails under stress. They know it through lived experience, memory and informal adaptation. Institutional and AI-driven risk models tend to leave that knowledge out. RiskSense surfaces it, organises it and keeps it under community stewardship. The work began with a Citizen Risk Clinic in Mumbai, which produced three tools: the Risk Clinic format, Cascade Mapping and the Decision Timeline. It has since moved to Berlin after the record 39.9°C heat of June 2026, with UK work in Tayside and Camden.
