In partnership with Bloxhub, in Copenhagen, Dark Matter Labs have begun to explore the future trends and possibilities of real-estate. This began by acknowledging that bureaucracy underpins the modern city, that new technology is revolutionising and repurposing that bureaucracy, and that the systems we take for granted everyday in how we finance, plan and design cities needs an update.

Civic City aims to start a conversation on how we can remould that revolution towards creating radically more democratic, transparent and equal cities. The next stage will be to develop and test designed experiments and pilots of digital regulatory infrastructure for the public good.
