Radical Childcare
An open civic movement for change
Dark Matter Labs and Impact Hub Birmingham have worked together on the design, fundraising and early stage delivery and for this ambitious programme to to radically transform outcomes for children and families. A two-year participative open enquiry co-funded by the Big Lottery Fund, Radical Childcare convened parents, frontline workers, policymakers, design innovators and serial social entrepreneurs.
It culminated in a 2-day Systems Lab, facilitated by the combined Dark Matter Labs and Impact Hub team, that outlined over 200 ideas drawing on family case studies, data stories and a range of tools designed specifically for the lab.
